A member of The Naethalian Foundation is excommunicated, but not before she steals two artifacts from the Inner Circle archives. Now, the town of Dravenroot is experiencing strange robberies that leave no human trace behind. What evidence is left behind makes little sense, or seems to be intentionally odd to throw investigations off track.

A friend from past experiences has called in a favor with help rooting out the truth in this small town, however that friend quickly disappears.

Anyone investigating this mystery will have to deal with misdirection, an uncooperative local authority, and a generally unhappy and threatening population.
